From USD1200 to Margin Call (FOREX TRADING)

Today I want to share with you the story about my Forex trading.

I somehow, invest USD200 to a forex broker… and after 2 week (10 days of trading) I manage to get USD 1200. It is a lots of money for me and I believed for many others.

Every work fine and I earn more and more everydays. I think the world is easy for me adn I began to feel arrogant… not to other people but to myself… I just forget what my initial plan is and don’t care about the rule that I set…

and today, I just do the trading and leave it… When I come back, I found that I have lost all my ‘hard earned’ money amount USD1200… (which mean my initial investment of USD200 also gone)… and it gone with my 2 week afford.

For anyone of you which is poor like me and want to venture into forex… please keep you plan intact and DON’T BE GREEDY…

I learn my lesson the hard way and hopefully you don’t need to do so.

Forex venture

Forex is somehow and ‘old things’… but I just expose to it accidently by a friend… I think I want to give it a try and hopefully I can success in it…

I read some forex ebook and it recommend that you need to have your goal when you want to enter into trading (forex, share etc etc)… well, my goal is to pay off all my current loan (mortgage, personal loan, credit cards and some business loan). Yeah I know it is a very high goal for me, but if it is not high… the challenge is not very interesting right? after the goal, it also recommend to have a plan if we want to success in trading.

My plan is to learn everything about forex for the first 3 month… I will practise trading 5 days a week (the market open 5 days a week only) and and during this period of time… there will be no movie or television for me… This 3 month is the minimum, where I will only enter the real market once I continuely able to get positive result everydays for about one month..

After the 3 month learning, I wil find some money… I am thinking of about USD500 to start with and open a mini account… from thereon, I hope I can get about USD10-20 per days on average

If I practise everydays, after a years… I am confindent that I will learn something about this and by that time, I should be able to make some serious money from it! and then the goal should be able to come true…

Some may say that, you need to learn and practise it for a whole year before you get the money?!!!

Yes… even many said that forex is a good place to get ‘easy money’, after some reading some book and other literatures, I don’t thinks this market is a quick rich scheme… a lots of effort need to put in if we want to success in it.

Wish me luck everyone…

I will write some progress about this later.

You will still survived

The economy is getting worst… seem like more and more people will lost their job… for the one that is not losing the job, some of them also will have a hard time.

Sometimes I just thinking, even if the economy is doing very bad, but if they still have some source of income, I think they still can survived. Cost of living is getting higher, but ifour financial is not very good, we can cut down the spending.

It may look rediculous, but here is some other spending that you can cut:

- dinner : get some simple dinner (most of the time, simple dinner is healthier) or you may skip dinner altogether. Don’t worry, you will not die from not taking your dinner as long as you have lunch.

- Eletricity : minimize it. switch all the light off when you are not using it. You will still survive even if you stay in a darker room. Do not use air conditioner, it will cost you a lots.

- Minimize visiting shopping center. Most of the time, I observed that we tend to buy something when we visit the shopping center… even if we didn’t buy, we will spend on some other thing like food etc.

- Visit park frequently. strange? no… when you keep yourself at home you will feel very bored and stress. Then you will need to ‘release’ which most of the time will cost you money. When you go to park, you can see the greenery and you will feel better. Just bring a book, wear a comfortable shoes and you are ready to go. p/s: It will make you healthier too.

ok, Best of luck for you.

More and more lay off

Today in the news it stated that Citibank will lay off about 53,000 of its employee… 53,000 is a big number! These people will then compete with other people to get a job…

For me, I can just wait and see… many of my project is not giving much money and some of them crate a financial dark hole for me… but life still go on and as you can ready in my past posting… I am kind of happy with my current lifestyle… sometimes you can still be happy even if you are deep inside the financial trouble hole… just look for the happiness of your life and you can still be happy!

Here I have some more news from yahoo!…

Banks lead world markets lower

LONDON – World stock markets fell Tuesday ahead of expected further losses on Wall Street amid gloom about propects for the world economy and the banking system.

The FTSE 100 index of leading British shares was down 70.72 points, or 1.7 percent, at 4,061.44, while Germany’s DAX was 98.00, or 2.2 percent, lower at 4,459.27. The CAC-40 in France was down 63.10, or 2.0 percent, at 3,118.93.

Ahead of the market opening in New York, Dow Jones industrial futures fell 149, or 1.80 percent, to 8,110, while Standard & Poor’s 500 index futures fell 15.60, or 1.83 percent, to 835.40.

Banks across Europe were particularly badly hit by recession fears after Citigroup announced it would cut thousands of jobs, with Barclays PLC down 7.3 percent, HBOS PLC another 8.6 percent, Deutsche Bank AG 5.3 percent and Commerzbank AG 5.4 percent.

In Asia too, banks were badly hit, with Japanese mega bank Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. down 7 percent, while China Construction Bank fell 6 percent as investors soured on Bank of America’s deal to increase its stake in the Chinese company.

“There is huge uncertainty hanging over the markets’ head, and banks are really out of favor,” said Howard Wheeldon, senior strategist at BGC Partners.

The morning losses in Europe follow similar drops in Asia. Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 stock average fell 194.17 points, or 2.3 percent to 8,328.41, a day after confirmation that Japan, the world’s second largest economy, had slipped into a recession. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index shed 4.5 percent to 13,131.23.

The lurch lower in Europe and Asia followed Wall Street, where traders sold heavily on evidence of more economic weakness and Citigroup Inc’s announcement Monday that it is to cull 53,000 jobs around the world as it seeks to deal with the impact of the financial crisis.

The Dow fell Monday by 223.73 points, or 2.6 percent, to 8,273.58. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index fell 22.54, or 2.6 percent, to 850.75.

Some hopeful signs emerged with the news that inflation in Britain fell in October for the first time in 14 months largely because of cheaper oil prices.

Official figures showed that the annual rate of the consumer price index measure of inflation dropped to 4.5 percent in the year to October from 5.2 percent in the year to September. Analysts had expected a more modest decline to 4.7 percent.

As a result, the markets are expecting the Bank of England to continue to cut interest rates aggressively over the coming months, with some predicting it to lop off another percentage point of its benchmark rate when it meets again in early December.

“The softer-than-forecast reading on inflation fostered a rally in interest rate futures as the market became more aggressive in its expectations for future easing by the Bank of England,” said Daragh Maher, an analyst at Calyon.

Further good inflation news is anticipated out of the U.S. later. Producer price data are expected to show that falling energy and commodity costs are substantially easing industrial cost pressures. Analysts are forecasting that the producer price index for October will fall a monthly 1.7 percent, way more than the 0.4 percent decline recorded in September.

Investors will be focusing on testimony by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson before the House Financial Services Committee.

Earlier in Asia, the Shanghai Composite index slid 6.3 percent after advancing four straight days. Australia’s main index declined 3.6 percent and South Korea’s Kospi fell 3.9 percent.

Wilting prices for oil, metals and other commodities sent resource companies lower. China’s Sinopec Corp. dropped 5.7 percent and Australia’s BHP Billiton Ltd., the world’s largest miner, retreated 3.6 percent.

Fears of a prolonged recession around the world sent oil prices drifting below $55 a barrel Tuesday. Light, sweet crude for December delivery slipped 45 cents to $54.50 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange by early-afternoon in Europe. The contract Monday fell $2.09 to settle at $54.95, the lowest since January 2007. Prices have fallen about 62 percent since reaching a record $147.27 in mid-July.

In currencies, the dollar was down 0.2 percent at 96.18 yen, while the euro was 0.1 percent weaker at $1.2629.

I am happy

At this moment, I am in the process of reducing my loan… most of my income is use to pay off the credit card (especially) and all other loan…

In term of my credit status, my credit is not good now. I am not sure if all the bank have blacklisted me, but sometimes there are not much that I can do…

Based on the current trend, I will able to pay off loans from 4 bank within this 3 years. Once I pay off the loan, I will concentrate myself to building back my credit… hopefully within this 5  years I will be more stable ecomonically.

Some may ask why I didn’t restucture my  loan and make it longer. Well, I am thinking of restart my life… maybe not up to from point zero, but hopefully not very far from it… I said not from the point zero because there are home loan that I need to pay and the term is 30 years… so, definitely I will not able to start from fresh…

Having said that, I am happy at the moment… I may not have money to do impulse spending, but my life still go on… if you cut you credit card and left with only small amount of money every month for spending… you will be amaze that you still can survive… and you still live well… you still can be happy!

There are few personal finance program that I intent to join once I am free of few of my dept… and at that point of time,  I think the energy is toward how to build more wealth and not how to go out from this financial crisis hole!..

The Best Places to Raise Your Kids 2009

After so many article about money management, how about article about family?… Here I found this article in the yahoo homepage today and keen to share it here…

The Best Places to Raise Your Kids 2009
by Prashant Gopal
Monday, November 10, 2008

Welcome to BusinessWeek’s second annual roundup of the best places to raise your kids.

This year we are going state by state. Once again working with OnBoard Informatics, a New York-based provider of real estate analysis, we selected towns with at least 50,000 residents and a median family income between $40,000 and $100,000.

We then narrowed the list of towns using the following weighted criteria: school performance; number of schools; household expenditures; crime rates; air quality; job growth; family income; museums, parks, theaters, and other amenities; and diversity.

We weighted school performance and safety most heavily, but also gave strong weight to amenities and affordability.

Bear in mind with this list, the organizing principle was affordability.

While the median household income varies by state, we purposely weighted the results to prevent pricing out most readers.

That’s why, for example, Greenwich, Conn., with its good private schools, low crime, and abundance of cultural amenities, was left out. It simply costs too much to live there.

Of course, there are other places that are great for kids which did not make this list. In many states the competition was extremely close.

Moreover, we looked for communities that scored well across the board.

So, while there might be places that offer more culture, better schools, etc., other factors such as crime or a high cost of living knocked them down.

So, read on to find out which are the best places to raise your kids in every state.

Who knows? You might already live there.

Cash found in Ohio house’s walls becomes nightmare

I found this news in the yahoo news today. At first, I think both of them should devide the money and both can be happy. however, I think only people that is the situation only can understand how they feel at that time… sometimes, a suddent money will make people nervous and just stuck! That is why for some people, after they hit the first price lotery, they just come to their original ‘point’ financially… based on some book that I read, this is because of the mentality of each person… some can bear the heavy burden of having sudden windfall, but some may not.

Here is the news. It is from yahoo.

Cash found in Ohio house’s walls becomes nightmare

CLEVELAND – A contractor who found $182,000 in Depression-era currency hidden in a bathroom wall has ended up with only a few thousand dollars, but he feels some vindication.

The windfall discovery amounted to little more than grief for contractor Bob Kitts, who couldn’t agree on how to split the money with homeowner Amanda Reece.

It didn’t help Reece much, either. She testified in a deposition that she was considering bankruptcy and that a bank recently foreclosed on one of her properties.

And 21 descendants of Patrick Dunne — the wealthy businessman who stashed the money that was minted in a time of bank collapses and joblessness — will each get a mere fraction of the find.

“If these two individuals had sat down and resolved their disputes and divided the money, the heirs would have had no knowledge of it,” said attorney Gid Marcinkevicius, who represents the Dunne estate. “Because they were not able to sit down and divide it in a rational way, they both lost.”

Kitts was tearing the bathroom walls out of an 83-year-old home near Lake Erie in 2006 when he discovered two green metal lockboxes suspended inside a wall below the medicine chest, hanging from a wire. Inside were white envelopes with the return address for “P. Dunne News Agency.”

Moneypath.info blog is now one year old

There are lots of decision that I do in the passed one year and I hope it will benefit me in the long run… financially, I startover a lots of things, so far I am happy with it.

A year ago when I started this blog, I think since I will read lots of article about money, why not I share it… then, it start… i normally share news that I read over the nets… some of them will have some of my comment and thought, but some may not… but overall, it is the news that I feel important and good to know about it…

and now lets look forward for the next one year…

Oil rises above $68 after Saudi cuts supplies

LONDON (Reuters) – Oil rose above $68 on Tuesday, after industry sources said Saudi Arabia had already made substantial cuts in crude supplies and helped the market recoup earlier losses.

Saudi Arabia, the world’s biggest oil exporter, has reduced exports by around 900,000 barrels per day from a peak in August, one source estimated.

U.S. crude was up $4.49 at $68.40 a barrel by 10:54 a.m. EST. It had touched a session low earlier of $62.25. Oil suffered its biggest monthly drop ever in October.

London Brent crude was up $4.10 at $64.58 a barrel. Earlier Brent had touched a 20-month low of $58.38.

“The petroleum markets have rebounded from lower overnight levels on a trio of supportive factors: a weaker U.S. dollar, a push to the upside in global equity markets and market talk that Saudi Arabia may have already cut crude oil production,” Tim Evans, analyst at Citi Futures Perspective, said in a research note.

Earlier, the market had fallen more than a dollar, pressured partly by expectations oil refiners would have to cut output because of weak demand for fuel.

All markets were awaiting the outcome of the U.S. presidential election.
